Has anyone cut down a track to fit a Phazer. If so how did you do it. I have heard of the table saw method but thats it. If they used that method how did it go.

Table saw and 3 guys. Not the hardest thing I've done. Save the beer for after the job. Took about 15 minutes. If there is a better way, let me know. I have one more to do :tg:

I was thinking of using a band saw. When you cut it did the track have anything in the edges that I should worry about.Do you think it weakened the track at all. I think I will try it on a junk track first. Thanx for the response.

I used a fence on the table saw to guide it. Every bar in the track grabbed a little more but it went pretty smooth. It would take the same number of guys no matter how you cut it I think.

What did you use for a blade, I was thinking a plywood blade. Do you think it made the track any weaker.

Dave Rx1 Have you tried this ?? Maybe 2 flat bars clamped together to sandwich the track and cut it with a sawsall.

I know people that have used this method. Rubber lugs cut like butter with a new utility knife blade. Use WD40 or silicone spray on blade to reduce friction. I suppose you could use a sawsall, but I feel the utility knife will do a better job.

Thanx for the info. I was also thinking of using a band saw, It would be cutting it from the back side of the track and it will be somewhat smooth. I will try the knif and WD40 method also.

that price is close to $800 dollars for that track. I bought a 153 camoplast for $300 and cut it down on a table saw for free and saved $500.
