In this last pic the damper was installed to check clearance, which it didn't touch the steering post but was close, you can simply put in shock the other way and it has more clearance.

Yup just like the goof Polaris made on the New Axys. After all the testing the rear seat pouch is struck by the remote resevior of the exterior mounted shock and punches a 2" hole right through it.

This was taken after 1st ride of 30 miles by 400 you could stick your hand in it.
