So with the help of mods it gained 20hp? Without mods 10hp you'd guess?

Is this SAE or STD correction? Seems a little high for SAE.
 
I will be working with Jeff Simon at Simon's CPR so they will be solid number's we can count on. Jeff may take a dealership for them if they work. He plans to track Dyno also and put a clutch kit together as well so he will have a complete package when done. The kit should be here the end of this week or the beginning of the next and we plan to get at it ASAP. If it don't work it will go back but Jeff thinks it has posability's. kviper

Sorry, i dont know about that.

The guy who's talking in french is Gaetan. He called me this morning to tell me about those tests.
He have this really well working apex that he put on the dyno on nov 18.
Then, he installed a Yamcharger and went back to the dyno on nov 23.
This is what this video is about.
He told me a stock apex make 150 on that dyno.
Gaetan told me he was not expecting as much power increase since the yamcharger produce 2 psi of boost for a 150 horsepower engine. A stronger engine draw more air so he was expecting the yamcharger would not charge as much.
Gaetan is really hapy now

And I'm just making sure the dyno BS doesn't get out of hand!
 
it should gain 20hp.....since it boosts 2psi.

i think they are just showing the gains here,i would not worry about total HP ever on any dyno as they can all be setup diff.

20hp gain is what was originally said....respectable,but for that kind of money?....not sure its worth it but time will tell.

I belive you can't understand french, so you can't really make well informed comments.
Gilles is well known in Quebec for making no BS. I can tell you his credibility is very hi here.
If i can suggest you a wait and see attitude, it's smarter than saying things that might look like BS foe someone else
 
The sled that was used for testing DID HAVE MODS as they said in the video...with the CHARGER test they were not expecting on getting as much gain as they did, they were expecting 10hp or so cuz of sled already having mods but they still managed to get an extra 21hp...they were stuned to actually see such good numbers!
 
I'd like the whole story on stuff like this. I'm left wondering what kind of mods the sled already had on it - to be at 170 (dyno proven) hp going into the dyno test?

40 hp gain using light boost like this, without dealing with a red hot turbo under the hood, sounds like something I'd like to know more about?

There's just a big piece missing from the picture I'm left with after watching this.
