All of mine leak.
Quote" Yamaha has not fix and will not warranty"
Not an engineer, but if you have ice on suspension, as you drive suspension working will generate heat and will "wick" water into grease holes around fittings.
Is anyone getting their's fixed under warranty?
Has anyone called Yamaha?
Number is 800-962-7926, Everyone that feels this is a defect should call on Monday.

I applied JB Weld 3 times. Each time it held up for the first greasing but on the second greasing the JB Weld came loose and the fittings started to leak again. Dealer ordered new suspension arms and when they arrived the new ones have the fittings welded in one spot just like the old ones. Before my dealer installed the new arms I had them call Yamaha to see if they were going to update the mounting of the grease fittings. Yamaha told my dealer that they would not warranty that problem by replacing the suspension arms. Yamaha told my dealer to apply JB weld on the leaky fittings. I have already done this, besides this is not a permanent fix for leaky grease fittings. Again Yamaha is neglecting their responsibility for poor design and workmanship. I heard that Yamaha wants to be #1 in customer service. No way that can happen with this type of neglect.

I agree..

They are working soo hard to build 4 stroke sleds that work for the masses.. to the point that they miss or neglect alot of other issues

JB Weld the zerks

I contacted JB Weld and was told you must properly prep the surface for their product to adhere properly.

Has anyone had an issue with it not working if prepped properly?

You should not have to use JB Weld, just another bad engineering issue, by Yamaha, that they should address. Yes, any of the ones that had JB weld put on them leak as well and I grease mine 5 times this year. Every 300 miles.

I cleaned the area's around the zerk's with acetone (brake and contact cleaner will work fine) and JB welded them. Holding up well after 2500 mi. I grease about every five to six hundred mi. kviper

JB Weld.......LOL that's the dumest #*$&@ I've ever heard!!!!

JB weld the grease fittings........LMFAO.... aint that some stupid bullshit !!!!! COME ON YAMAHA , this is getting to be a real big problem, all these little nick nack issue's with the new Yamaha sleds and they won't deal with them. I've never heard of something so stupid from a big manufacturer in my life! I'm sure all the doo guys and Poo guys are lovin this. Have some pride in your product Yamaha........DAMN :o|
SURE the motors are great and the four stroke technology is awesome but everything else is lacking , more and more little complaints coming out as time goes on......... excuse my scenical attitude, I'm SO frustrated at the bullshit they're pulling now days.

All my grease fittings leak as well. Yamaha's rec to use JB Weld is AFJ. Yamaha snowmobile division cannot take credit for much on the new sleds. Not even the 4 stroke motor that came from their motorcycle division. The people running Yamaha's snowmobile business are freaking morons!!!!!!!!!!!
