What kind of prices are you getting. My dealer said on a GT or FX the price would be $6750 plus $400 in accessories or another $200 off the price.

Gotta wait until closer to the end of the Yamaha Snowcheck period. Dealers will try to keep the price higher on this model as it is a hot one, or at least hot topic at the moment, but the reality is that the overall sled market keeps dropping fairly rapidly each year and dealers will do about anything to make a sale.
Typically you should see a sled with a MSRP of $7199 USD sell for around $6499 USD prep included. Then take off $200 cash for the snowcheck parts rebate and you're at $6299 plus tax and registration.
I'm thinking I can find some dealer willing to low ball a MT Lite for like $5995 plus prep/tax/registration.....

Hey Snowx99, do you know that it actually takes money to run a business? Maybe find a good, dependable dealer close to you (or where you ride) and support them. Yes, their price should be competitive but no, it shouldn't be the cheapest. There will always be a dealer somewhere who needs one more number to make their order that's willing to sell for no profit but in the long run they will not be there later to support you.
The dealer you build a relationship wish should be the one who treats you like a good customer, remembers your name, gets you in for service at short notice, has factory trained mechanics and a good staff. They should also have a good stock of parts and accessories to keep you riding. This all takes money and selling at cost doesn't usually do it.

I have to aggree with cdnredline, I bought my 03 RX1 Mtn at the cheepest place. (only by $150.00) When it came to service, what jerks they were, they even charged me for a recall. Thats when I said enough was enough. Now my dealer that I have treats me like they enjoy seeing me, let alone to buy anything.

a good dealer goes a long way
You'll get what you pay for. All kinds of snowmobile dealerships have been going out of business , want to bet that they're some of the ones that have provide horrible service to their customers who only purchased a sled from them because they were a couple hundred bucks under a much better dealer.
