I bought some goo gone and tried it but it was near usless! I then went back to the good old standby WD-40 which worked like a charm.

Try Rosonol lighter fluid, by far the best, even against Goo Gone, tested and true many time over.

WD40 seems to work best. I used goo gone once on some plastic on one of the kids bikes and it messed the plastic up a bit. WD is also great to take trail permit goo off your windshield each year.
