With winter being a very short season here (especially in most recent years) I'm often needing to keep my sled on the trickle charger to keep the battery topped up. I was fed up with having to pull off/ reinstall the side panel every time I use my sled so I decided to add some charging/boosting posts that are much easier to access.

I understand that with the quick release, the panel doesn't take long to remove/install but I do not have the 1/4 turn fasteners installed on my sled since I've had bad luck with some them falling off randomly. I have placed M6 receptacles along with M6 hex head screws to hold my panels up.

Here are some pictures of what it looks like. My foot doesn't hit the posts at all.

Nice! I'm in the same boat and should also do this. At this point I'm thinking of selling my sled :(

Yeah, I was hoping for a better year when the cold came in November but it just keeps fluctuating and we keep having less and less snow. It's becoming very disappointing. I have the cottage in Québec which is where my sled is but it's not any better there either....

Where/what did you source the posts from?

Awesome! They fit tight into the slot but there's no drilling, cutting or filling needed. It's just a tight spot in general to work in to get the wires on and tighten the posts in place.

Make sure you run the wiring high and behind the harness near the reverse panel so that the panel can go back in it's original spot without needing to force it back in place.

I'm probably gonna have to find another spot to put them as I have an Apex fan and radiator in that spot. Maybe on the left side.
