took it for a quick rip down the street to check things out, get it warmed up, check for leaks, etc. only thing i noticed was a small amount of coolant spit out the overflow, not much though. between the ceramic coated exhaust, lower altitude than i'm used to, and the cool (-25C) air, the response and power was stupid! i just about fell off the first time i hit the throttle, and i wasn't wide open.
only part left is the float plate, i tried getting it on and it was fighting me to the end, just got fed up and decided to leave it off for now.

it sounds like you either don't have a blow off valve or it isn't working right. I can here the turbo stalling when you let off the throttle

it does have a BOV, it does sound like the turbo is stalling and thats something i already knew about. looking into that was something i completely forgot to do this summer though. I'm only running 10psi so its possible the spring tension is set higher than that since the kits rating is at .9bar or roughly 14psi.

i'm also going to get something to block the opening around the headlights tommorow.

just out of curiosity i looked at some videos of MCX turbos on nytros. seems the videos from MCX themselves have a working BOV, where as a few of the other videos i watched sound like mine, so i don't know if its just the sound of the BOV, maybe its a soft spring and its opening and closing multiple times or maybe it is compressor surge. i will check where the vaccum signal is coming from first, to make sure thats right and then test to see if the BOV is opening.

What bov are you using? the vaccuum/pressure port should be connected on the engine side of the throttle bodies. you can usually just cut the spring on the bov to get less tension. the bov will make a "hissing" or 'whistle " when it opens and you won't hear the turbo stall anymore. you want the bov to open on throttle position changes not just when you chop the throttle. some guys run with the bov open when idling (theory being that the turbo would spool up easier) i preferred to have mine closed though

i know how it works, been working on turbo cars for years. i left it all last year because its a BB turbo so stalling out at low pressure isn't going to bend fins or eat bearings like on journal bearings. the BOV thats on it came with the MCX kit. i'll be looking at it today though. would have looked at it this morning but i was picking up parts for the MM700

tested it, BOV was barely opening, cut the spring, opens more now should be good to go.
on the down side, the shock i got from a 97 MM700 is not the same as the 2000 MM700, i didn't think it was but picked it up anyways in case i was mistaken.

well i've had it out for a couple rides this year now and the suspension is dialed in decent now. the track and stiffer rear springs are great.

before this last ride i added some screen over the open headlight hole.

and its running pretty good :)
