I have ran Megapower dial engage in the past mostly to reduce my belt clearance in primary clutch. However, it does more than that. It increases engagment and as a result it increases offset between weights and rollers. Acting as if smaller rollers were used. Also, engagment bettween weights and rollers occurs farther towards mid-weight thus making it for a more aggressiveshift down low, correct??
What I would like to achieve is to set my belt clearance in the primary to about .015". How much do I need to machine my split collars and still be able to use a new belt without a tight clearance??

You're going to have to determine that yourself. Put a new belt on it, measure your side clearance with feeler gauges and figure out how much you have to remove to obtain .015 clearance. Of the ones I've done, it's usually around .030 to .040. Some are more, some are less.

coller,s
you are correct about the exteral ajuster,s. if you cut the split coller,s down this will give you what you are looking for. if you get close to the side clerace that you want the use the ajuster it,s not to bad. on the 03 rx 1,s i have seen an exsive amount of side clearence as my own was at about .080 . this with the ol finger lug track would blow the track right out on take off by takeing the side clearance down to .015 tho i could stand this sled on it,s tail light with no stud,s . and affter a nite on the belt sander i was a robber . no finger print,s left . ouch . there are other way,s to get this as well but i dont recomend them on a trail sled. or just buy the reduced split coller from haulk as that,a the only place i hace seen them for sale.

ditto, on both my sleds, the '03 was worst at 0.090 and slightly less on the '05.
