... an asphalt turbo charged apex to bracket race.

Little about myslef. Im 31 years old, have raced in some sort since I was ten and have travelled the world doing it. The past 16 years just drag racing, mostly brackets and some .90 stuff. Travelled the country some with some success.

I have always LOVED snowmobiling and just getting back into it again this year. Family always runs Polaris so I bought two of them. But I was out riding with my friends and they all own new Yamis - Apex, RX1s, Vectors, and a Nytro in there. Im am sold on the 4 stroke idea and started kicking around the idea building an Apex to bracket race, but I want to bill this to potential sponsors as the same sled I trail ride, with obvious modifications etc....

We have very few sleds at the tracks up here and they are no where near competitive. They are just not consistent enough for what ever reasons I dont know. I never sat and met with anyone but they are all older sleds with older technology.

I would like to run the Apex because I like the FI idea, turbo charged so I can crank it up in summer and run race gas if I must and then turn it down to a respectable boost level in the winter and have fun on the trails and lake runs.

I am in Wisconsin near the dells, is there anyone near by I can come and visit and talk to about this stuff. Take a look at their set up and pick their brain? Totally new adventure for me going down this road.....

Here are a few pics of some of my other or older toys....

This is the daytona I have had the most success with, this is running down south in an IHRA race, big block alky injected

so as you can see Im serious about racing, I run it as a business and think I could gain some attention with an Apex running turbo and laying down some impressive quarter mile times.....just need a buncho f help. Thats where you folks come in.... :rocks:

Your at the right place, lotsa guys here race on asphalt during the summer , a turbo apex should turn 9's in the quarter .........simons cpr ran a world record 7.97 on their 1/4 mile sled..........I'm even thinking about it for this summer .

Forget the Apex idea. Use the carbed sled. FI sled far to tight to work on using large high HP turbo. You will not gain any attention with a sled. I been there, done that. Even been to the national events, running with John Force and Warren Johnson. The sleds are just a freak show. Only people that care, are the guys in the class. The asphalt fad is fading fast. I ran it is a business too, did great on ice and grass. Theres just no interest in the asphalt for some reason. I have no idea why other than the lack of a good promoter. Many have tried without success, other than Mike Hills single race in New York. Good Luck in your quest. Mike Knapp#17

Contact Simons CPR at www.simonscpr.com - He has built the fastest drag sleds to date. Good luck with your project. :-) :4STroke:
