A friend has built 3 now including this one - he made me help so that I knew how much work it was!

Was out on the weekend testing and got a few good passes in - sled is set up for 1/8 mile, had a good pull so I stayed into it to 1000 ft - 167 mph on GPS and coasted to a 7.79 @ 154 run.

Well you guys built a nice hood . . I do have another question .Were the outlaws sleds getting to fast in the 1000ft and if so what are you guys thinking for safe speeds for the tracks. There are 4 sleds at my track (My 2 bros and my nephew and myself) so we go out for 1/4 mile street drag night. Last fall I ran a 7.79 at 167mph with 23lbs boost. . Now I see you guys trimming up from 1/4 mile to 1000ft and now 1/8 mile. Has anyone blown a track or are guys getting nervous with the speeds now at 700hp.
