yes i play catch up but if u only knew how fast im catching u.....whopper sounds like your shifting to quick and cant catch up...my rtx is opposite of yours, i get a decent holeshot but mid-range and top end im absolutely gone and rapeing anything thats ahead of me,granted im racing sleds with studs and clutch kits and my rtx has no studs,i got the 23t gear and just put in the white sec..at 3-3 and had a noticeable difference with that spring...pull your limiter strap tighter 1 hole and turn down your transfer a bit.....take your belt off and look at your secondary and make sure the sheaves are touching each other,my rtx had about a 1/4 gap from machine filings stopping it from closeing all the way,if so,use a dremmel to shave the material down.....u shouldnt be gettin beat mid--top....

I'm sure it cold be a dumb thing to bring up, but don't forget to chech drive belt wear. Mine was worn and appeared just a tiny bit narrower than the one I replaced it with. It was enough of a difference to go from sitting just below the edge of the secondary sheave to sitting above. I think I found my overreving problem, but this will definately affect the ratios your clutch at any given rpm.
i run my belts tight, just to the point of squeeling..and yes if your belt is sitting in secondary,it shouldnt be

i just checked, both my belts were down a little in the sec, the sec. had the thinner washers behind the bolts so i grabed the washers in a second seconday and they were thicker so i put those in stead of the thin ones and my belts aresitting just above the seconday now. i also pulled the inner rivit out and my revs are, although in fresh 8 inches of powder are at 10500 for the first part. was dark tonight so didnt go far. revs deffinitely get up there quicker now. Yes befor i would come out of the hole good and the revs would drop down to 9500 then start pulling up
going from a bad belt to a new one feels like u added 15hp..makes a big defference, and make sure it stays above the secondary..
i had my belt tight too, but it would screw up my reverse so i loosened it when i put it in revers the sled would go without me touching the gas and it would grind like a bitch so i took out some washers.

well not very good conditions to race in right now, kinda powdery snow. But the pink spring worked better also, i pulled the inner rivit out, it pulls good mid now, even in deep snow it hold s 10000rpm plus. on a long haul the rpms are at 10700 and pulls strong, i seen the most top end yet and on less then ideal conditions as there was snow on the trail. seen 112, keep in mind i will be all of 300 pounds with gear on.Also with the inner rivit out its way snappier for playing around also
