Display issues and possibly more

Its hard to find a "super deal" on a pod. I had a used one that I easily sold for $200 bucks

If you're desperate, you can try a non-reverse pod or one from a Nytro. If it works, then your original pod is dead so you can take the switch and top cover and put them on the good one. You would have to solder the switch onto the board. The F and R lights will no longer work though. I did that for someone who needed a pod badly. Worked great except for the lights.

That's good Information. Thanks for sharing.

I know its been a while for this thread but having a baby and life gets in the way. I found another display and same thing its blank also. I replaced the stator for other issues i noticed like no lights on the sled at all. All the fuses checked out good but i replaced them anyways. I also checked all the relay and they check out. As far as the wiring harness and connector are concerned I went through that a few times to make sure that they are good. I am at a loss as to where to go with this issue next. I'm not the best at reading through the wiring diagrams in the FAQ section, but I am doing the best I can with that. Anyone out there have any pointers on where to go from here. Thanks in advance.

Hmmm. Not much left but the ecu!!??
Unsure where your located but I have a spare 07 (pre update) one you could use to test.

I live just south of buffalo ny, so you are a quite aways from me. I was hoping no one would say the ecu, but i was kind of thinking that is a good possibility.

Just a thought. Good mechanic friend was helping me last spring with electrical gremlin on 07. I confirmed ground block update, pulled the bar out of the yellow plug, cleaned up ect ect. Still having trouble, he came over, took a wire and put one end on battery negative and one end to grounding block. (Just used thumb to hold wire flat part of the bar in the yellow plug) Boom, everything worked again.
Supposedly there are a couple wires on right side of plug that take the brunt of the load. That's usually where the issue is.
I really hope this helps, thought I'd share knowing you've been all over trying to figure out.

Tried a good used ecu that I borrowed. I know it was working. Swapped computers and still no display. Beyond that I doubled checked all the fuses and relays and they all test out good. The only things left are ignition coils and spark plugs and voltage regulator. I'm leaning towards the voltage regulator as the next piece to test out. I am thinking about this right or should I look another direction?

I'd be surprised if the coils were the problem but they are a really quick test so it's easy to eliminate.

Did you try the display on a different sled just to make sure the used one isn't bad too?

I did try a different display that was known to be good and same thing it doesn't show anything

There is something in the wiring harness your missing. Your going to have to test every wire to the pod and make sure it's working as expected. Make sure you check every ground. Turn the key on and do a wiggle test on all the harnesses and watch the pod and too see if it "flashes" on.

2X. It really sounds there is a break in the harness somewhere.
