Do you carry Torco with you?

I know this may not belong here but I posted in another forum and go no replies.... If you carry Torco with you on your sled what do you put it in? I'm worried about it exploding/can breaking in the rear storage bag on the back of my tunnel...

Also, any suggestions for water bottles that won't bust open would be appreciated

i carry spare gas in 1l aluminum msr bottles for camping for my chainsaw and motorcycle. have had no issues with leakage.

the water bottles i carry around are the cheap costco or nestle thin ones. they seem to strech when the water freezes and have never seen one break yet.

i take an empty yamalube chain case plastic bottle rise it with gas work great

Most guys i see just put it in a bag then wrap it in a towel & put it in their bag.
I have waaaay more important stuff to carry so i went with plain 'ole Ecoboost.

I do like MAIM's idea though. Those containers are designed for rough gas storage & transport

I use the amsoil octane boost and it works well. No lock light on maxspool 17. Just put enough bottles for the day in a plastic bag and go.

I removed the factory tail bag on my 137", made a plate out of aluminum which i powdercoated satin black, mounted it to the tunnel and mounted Skidoo Linq brackets for a stackable gas can with a bag on top (if needed) with a second bag behind it.
I then modified (cut the backs off and joined together) two round Dryspec fuel can holders and fit two fuel cans filled with Torco back to back in the Dryspec containers. It works awesome!

I bought a dozen 8oz firm plastic bottles from Amazon and keep 2 of those in my tunnel bag (the med. one)...no issues last year...the bottles were relatively cheap, i.e. <$1 ea.

I have good luck with Lucas 3x. The bottles travel great. I buy two cases of the 4.4 ounce bottles and it lasts me all season. I use one bottle for every 5 gallons of 91. Running Maxspool 19 without issue. My other trail sled runs 20.5 psi on a different setup and doesn’t run into knock issues. I do limit my WOT to 5-6 seconds at a time. I’m not recommending others do this, rather just sharing my experience.

Just realize most Octane boosters are Ethanol based & are light sensitive so keeping them in original containers & also using them within a year is highly recommended

I keep in original containers and wrap lip with electrical tape so it wont unscrew by itself.
Put in saddle bag with other stuff so it wont bounce around.

Friend race car builder and supercharger fan only used torco, and, at the time, kenne bell guy recommended only torco. Really got rid of pinging on a 69 Camaro ss, and my old tuned mustang, before the supercharger. Makes a real difference killing detonation.

I always had luck using a empty sea foam container. It has a plastic twist cap that has worked for me. I use TORCO Accelerator. I usually would put the can inside a old leather mitten for some shock resistance. I usually add 3-4 ounces to each fill up especially when getting fuel in Upper Michigan. If I get a light then add some more. Never seen the knock light ever. But I’m only on powertrail though.

I have run torco,and kept it in my large Yamaha rear tunnel bag,which is large enough to carry 2 gal container of fuel lying down,so I also tapped cap than wrapped with bubble pack,and tapped the bubble pk all togeather,and it worked,but I also have run and brought the small plastic bottles of lucas,along and used with good results. Much cheaper and easier to use,in fact,empty each bottle of lucas per fill up,if filling up more than 5 -7 gal. But what else we can run and does work good to,is Heat,and it is cheap,in plastic containers,and one time only use.
