on my 2003 rx1er every thing under the hood is stock, wich is a first for me. every other sled i owned i added something to get better performance.i dont feel like i need more power, the top end is awsum.it will eat a f7 from70 on up every time.i wonder how much money i have saved in sparkplugs,(just changed them for the first time at 5000 miles)belts,(still have the 2 i started out with)fuel,(runs on regular and uses less of it)oil,(it does burn a quart every 700-1000 miles).i will say this is also the only sled i have had to work on the suspension(allott!)longer links, woodys duallys, thicker spacers on controll rods, straight rate springs, and finally the thing that turned this sled into a trail burner,c&a razor pro skis.but it has been fun learning about suspension tweeking.bottom line is this is my first yamaha, best sled ever.hands down ;)!

I thought the trick was to use THINNER spacers on the control rods?
