I would like to buy a 08-09 fx nytro and have been looking at them for a while now and know that they have a strong motor. But i just got back from a weekend of riding in Springstead, WI (bad trails except for 1 day/ THE SNOWS MELTING ) and I rode my grandpa's apex and realized just how hard the apex pulls. So my ? is do the nytros still pull as hard as the apex at 60-70mph at just a stabe of the throttle?????

From the bottom to 85-90, the Nytro is ahead of the Apex. From a 60-70mph roll on, I would say the Nytro and Apex would be the same for a little bit, with the Apex pulling away...

My cousin rode my XTX for the first time last week. He has a 800r XP Renegade, and a bit of a die-hard Doo person. He asked if I wanted to ride his machine, when I said....you mean you wanna ride mine? He smirked a bit, and then said yeah.
Seconds later, he was nothing but a blurr in the distance. When I finally caught up to him at the next intersection the first words out of his mouth was "holy f*ck....this thing pulls.....It will probably take my 800 out of the hole." I just merely smirk back at him, and said it might!
Love the pull on my XTX....nothing better. Moral of the story...ride one, it's quite the experience.

The young lad has a 08 Nitro with 192 studs down the middle on a 1.5 inch track and I can leave him like he's stopped at any speed with my 06 GT with 144 studs down the middle. This sled is not even in the same ballpark compared to the Apex for power!!!

I call BS. On houghton lake this past weekend I ran both a Nytro and XTX and got the hole shot both times and ran away from them. I know the Nytro had all kinds of stuff done to it. Not sure about the XTX, he was pissed and left. My LTX is bone stock with 1,300 miles. The lake was really hard snow. In better snow conditions the 3 holer might do better only because the 4 holer rips the track loose to easily.SledFreak said:From the bottom to 85-90, the Nytro is ahead of the Apex. BS, Really.... Dude you are running a 136" track... I said an Apex, not an Attack... The Nytro does not run speeds like an XTX will and you have more traction then both sleds... Chill out dude...
Raced an apex this past weekend on my 08Nytro with exhaust and filter kit.beat him twice.Don't know exactly how long it was but speedo was at 98 mph.

Ahh, are you saying an Attak has more traction than an XTX?? How do you figure, 136" vs 144",my math tells me the XTX has more traction!SledFreak said:BS, Really.... With that said I have not had a chance to run against an Attak yet, I will this year my bud has one and he says he wants to try me, last year he wouldn't,lol. But I did run against an 06 GT last year and he was behind me the whole way, about 1/2 mile.

The 136" has full contact on a hard surface. The XTX is only really a 121" on the hard ground, it just works better in soft snow.

Rode them both and there is no comparison in the two. Apex is way stronger.

I have an apex and my buddy just bought an rtx se nytro. Apex most def pulls harder, I have never lost to a nytro but never raced an xtx either. I think traction is the real factor, both pull but if the apex hooks, it's over.
