Hey im new to this, I am thinkin of buyin a yamaha but i don't know hat to buy i currently ridea 07 X Fire 800 and i like it but its hard on fuel and im starting to have lots of trouble with it. So i am wondering what i should buy i do alot of jumping,carving,etc... but i still ride the trail once and a while so what should i buy. Thanks

i bought a vector ltx,it is an awesome trail machine, probably yamaha's best, but i got a chance to ride a new nytro xtx a few weeks ago, this is what you need,i fell in love with it ,it will jump and boondock much better than the vec

Will the nytro take a beating off trail would it take big air time and what kind of top end you get.... sorry bout the questions but the guys at my local dealer are goofs

Depends on what type of riding you do.

The Nytro is a very tough machine, will take whatever you give it. Mine had some front end problems with the ball joints but Yammi took care of it and it has been a sweetheart of a sled ever since. It jumps great, takes a beating. And . . . . it blows away anything else I have run into in a drag race - 600's, 800's, don't matter. Up to about 1/8 mile the big sleds, including the Apex, can't touch the Nytro. After that, well, the Nytro tops out around 95 or so, the other big blocks have longer legs. The 600 class doesn't stand a chance, tho, low end or top end.

The Apex is King of the Trail. Rides like a Caddy, powerful as anything out there, fast as lightening, and gets 18-20mpg to boot on regular gas. Best trail sled on the market.

I think the Nytro won the Cain's quest 2500Km race in Labrador last winter - so that's tough! One of the TV shows (Snowmobiler TV, I believe) had a full episode race review this past weekend - nice report.

M&R (near the Fingerlakes Mall) have a XTX for sale for $7200, dont how long it will last at that price, but thats cheap!!

A fellow Saskatonian! Surely you're not talking about Proline Motorsports!? :o|
This was the main reason I snowchecked mine through Leisure Sports in Prince Albert! Really good guys there! This is my first Yammi and I have never ever loved a sled as much as I love my XTX! It is just an absolute hoot to ride! It will handle rough trails with ease and is lots of fun off trail with all of that torque at your disposal. The RTX comes with the Fox Float shocks up front and will handle some serious ditch banging better than the GYT-R shocks on the XTX. When you say you really like to jump, how much air are you talking about? Are you talking sno-cross style type jumping? If you're looking to fly this thing 30ft through the air then I suggest you look somewhere else. Although very light for a 4 stroke it still wet weighs in @ 600-610lbs, in the same range as quite a few cross-over 2 smokes. So if air miles are your thing then I suggest you take these points into consideration before you make any kind of purchase. Good to see another local on here!!
