DOO GUY with MORE issues

RADNYTROFX said:
1.) MY FINGERS ALMOST FWLL OFF YESTERDAY. my dealer said the hand warmer issue should be fixed by fall. is this what you have heard??????

2.)now that i have the front end better, the skis really come off the ground coming out of corners. my rear blocks are set on medium, but i am thinking if i put them on the hard setting this should help with the transfer?? should i make adjustments to the front or rear limiter straps to help keep the skis on the ground?

3.) fuel milage? i only have 300 miles on this bad boy, ridding aggressive, and only getting 14 mpg! is there a chip on the nytro to burn out to get better in time. after so many hours will the milage get better? seems to be about the same as my 600sdi????

1. Don't expect to get new handwarmers. You'll have to spend some money and come up with your own solution. Those powermadd gauntlets look sweet - I didn't know about those. Now I want a pair. I purchased some Choko ones but they are too tight. Those powermadd ones look nice and flexible and still provide all the wind protection you need. It's the wind freezing your fingers more than anything, although the warmers could stand to be hotter. I rode at -45 this year without windchill. You don't know cold fingers lol

2. You have to play with all adjustments, basically spend a day on the same stretch of track with the tools out. Adjust, then run it. Adjust, then run it. Repeat over and over till you've tried all the settings, that's the only way you'll learn exactly what works best for you, but you have to take the time to do it.

3. This 'chip' stuff is all a myth. There's no 'chip' per say. Your fuel economy is going to move around depending on your riding style and the terrain. You shouldn't expect much better fuel economy than the SDI. I've had them all, and they are all very close.

After break in (about 500 miles) you'll see a bit of a difference, I know I did. Then I saw another change at about 1000..... Seems like it knows its a 4 stroke and it takes its time about improveing its self. Imagine that.

Yeah I don't doubt there's some programming in there for timing and stuff on break-in, etc.

The 'chip' stems from the doo riders, myself included - I used the think the dealer's programmed it to retard timing for X number of hours. lol
