Did a 2 day ride to North Bay where snow conditions got low....My INNER wheels(spoked) just couldnt take it anymore...my first set of spoked at the inner location lasted 2700 or so miles....so i put another set there and they wore right out, chunked off....the spoked at outer location have been fine.
So,i decided to go with DOO 135mm wheels at inner location....also,I felt the added pressure of the larger wheel would benefit from the 2 bolt bracket that DOO uses...so i got the entire setup from Northland REC. SKIDOO for $80 bucks total....TWO brackets,FOUR bolts,FOUR nuts,TWO 135mm wheels.
below are some pics after i installed them,i forgot to take pics while installing sorry...i simply had to drill two smaller holes in bottom of rail for the smaller bolts...also had to slightly grind out the groove on the doo brackets abit to match the yammie rail configuration....very simple, and much tougher stronger setup then stock.
Thurs morning in North Bay,got up early after a night with the HO's at the MOE-ZE on inn...lol...Kyles sled wouldn't start(Apex ER)....it was minus 25c,so i just knew it was that damn fuel pump relay(no fuel sound)....so we backed my sled up to his, took off the sidepanel and aimed my exhaust tailpipe right at the relays...LOL,,sure enough the heat off my tailipe exhaust warmed the relay and his fuel pump started working in minutes...easy when you have two apexs!...
also, here are some pics of us radaring on my lake here Friday...I ran a 119.9 on the gun...Pc3/ign module works well!!!.....Kyles near stock apex ran 113.5....and no laughing at my wrenching attire!....lol

well i put about 150 miles on the new wheels today, and alot of this was ICE on lakes,so pretty hard on idlers, and they look perfectly new still....I suspect they should hold up well...since DOO wheels in the past have been good for me.
I really like how much tougher the 2 bolt bracket is then stock apex bracket.

Dan, I'm sure you lower your front end, just for top speed runs. What mph difference do you see if you leave it at trail ride height? Was that 119 with ? Was your buds 113 at trail height or lowered? What distance? RR

Looks good Dan. Money well spent, you won't have to worry about cracking off those mount tabs on top of the rail with the use of the larger wheels.

Have any of you guys had problems with inner wheels on the mono getting chewed up? Both on mine where completely gone. Dealer warrantied them, put them on friday rode sat. completely chewed up again. Went with skidoo wheels again now one of them are chewed up. I have checked the studs and they all are flush with the track. I studded from new put on almost 1500 miles no problems. Now have 1668 miles had have gone threw 5 fives wheels. Any suggestions?

My Apex went thru 11 idler wheels and then I got smart and put on the 135mm Poo 6205 wheels. Had to machine about 10 thousands off the mounts but the wheels cost $5.95 each. 2100 miles later., only trashed 1 wheel due to a rock getting in my suspension. Great wheels!!!!!!!!!!
I replaced all 6 idlers to Poo wheels when I did this change. good luck

From what I've seen on mine is ,the stock wheel mount flexes and scrubs back and fourth across the track, and pulls little chunks of rubber from the wheels. The two bolt mount doesn't give, and holds the wheel straight.

I removed my NOS last summer.....only thing Im running now is the pc3/ign module and my ramair...my clutching and predator....
Lowering front end we found a very very slight gain of less then 1mph.....but every bit helps right?....but remember i run my LEVEL A arms anyway....not tall like when they come stock.
Kyles ER is his Dads sled,as he sold his GT....the ER is no slouch, and has a Ulmer airbox mod with some clutchwork too....its been a strong runner and he runs is with A arms level,as we all do.
Distance was .7 miles on my ODO,but my fastest time was actually .6 on my ODO.

Time will tell if these hold up....I thought my spoked wheels were the ticket,as mine last season went 2700+ miles(inners) while my outer spoked are still perfect at 5100+miles....I beleive the studs killer the inners...they build far more HEAT then outers we have found.
here are the part numbers i got for you guys...some of these you will find have superceeded numbers when you go to buy them.....We have a big DOO dealership locally up here(northland Rec) that has alot of race items from BRP race dept.....Ive known them well for many yrs,and they always have something instock...
I called them with these part numbers, and the guy told me he had a box full of wheels off some Proto sleds, that never got used....135mm all black wheels with 6205 bearings...so I decided to grab two.....also,he had two brackets and all bolts/nuts in stock too....so i grabbed it all.
these part numbers below are the ones I searched out on DOO parts fiche, and should be correct....but Northland ended up having all the items instock, but may not be the same as below part numbers
Bottom line,do some homework on these part numbers first before you order...but I think i got it all correct.
Part numbers:
(2)brackets--503 174 600
(2)black wheel 135mm--503 188 997
(2)short bolts(M8 x 25)--222 082 565
(4)Nuts M8--233 281 414
(2)Long Bolts(M8 x 85)--207 088 544
