We all know this has been beaten to death for a topic, and it is an issue with the Apex line, but I have a question that I have not seen asked on here. I just had to replace my doughnuts at 2400 miles on a 2006 Apex GT. Popping started around 2200 miles. I was wondering at what odometer reading you replaced your doughnuts, or at what point you knew they were going? I hear some people getting a lot more out of them then others. Don't know if those differences are particular years or what? The dealer thought it was my after market headers not being as tight of a fit as the stock ones. Think there is a little BS there, but either way. Not a gripe, just interested to see. Guess I would rather replace a set of doughnuts then pistons on a Doo LOL  When did you guys notice the issue?

2006 GT
Noticed 2200 miles
replaced 2400 miles

I am in the process of replacing mine on my 2006 Apext GT. I checked mine at 5000k and the were perfect. I also files down and tightened the clamps at that time. 4000 k later the titamium header on one side is cracked and the donuts need replacement. They were not all bad. One was very bad and the others could have lasted longer. I am replacing the titaninm headers with streel ones.

07 RTX noticed at 7800miles replaced at 8200, currently 9800 on sled....

08 40th noticed at 7000miles replaced right away... currently at 9200 miles on sled...

both have very aggressive trial/off trail.. (except when wife is driving)..

I asked this question a while ago but never received any answers?

I am curious if Apex's/Nytro's are more prone to donut failure that the Vector's are?

I replaced mine at 4900, not sure if they were replaced before that because I just bought the sled. Mine prob have been bad for a while though because I bought the sled with 4500 and it's never felt as quick as it does now or as quite as it is now since replaced 50 miles ago.

You mean it's more powerful after new donuts? Most of the time these sleds start losing power when the donuts begin to degrade, then we notice more power once again after the donuts are replaced.

At 5000 miles my rx1 did not have any donuts left.
