drive shaft bearing blown speedo blown

Has anyone blew the clutch side bearing and drove 50 km home. I hope it didn't damage the housing where is sits. I am so sad I love my turbo :-(

Yes but it was not 50 km maybe 10 km. Post some pics so we can give you better advise.

To answer our question, the red light is sensing if the coolant temperture is not within acceptable temperature, either too high or too low.

Red light comes on until you let it warm up. That's normal. Now if it ran for 5 minutes was 30F and the light was still on you got a problem.

Yes. A Buddy drove my old Apex GT 70 KM to home after the bearing calved. Bearing case came completely out of sled 1/4 mile from home.
All was well. New bearing went in ok, new speedo sensor & no problems 2 years later.

Awesome thanks man makes me feel better my bill might only be like 600 then it was 220 for both clutch side and Chain case side drive shaft bearing and speedo cable and sensor.

Not exactly sure if this is the right part, but you may need this part as well as the bearing speedo sensor and gear. I think its the reinforcement bracket that the bearing sits in. Here is the number for the part I am talking about. Its in the frame part of the microfiche. I am thinking the chain case side is still ok as mine was.

Is that the on the clutch side the housing that is riveted into the tunnel from the inside of the tunnel. ps you guys are awesome

Yeah probably is but it took some heavy side loading so better change it anyways. it blew on a hill climb I was lucky I got it turned around lucky I was going really fast so my momentum was enough to let me turn when the tors kicked on

In a word yes I do believe it is check it out. Your going to have to buy or borrow a riveter big enough to rivet this back in place if needed.

If your bill is 600 you should look at doing it yourself not too hard and better to learn in the warm garage then on a cold trail.
