how do i know if my drivers are in the right place on the driveshaft?replacing my bearing and i think they may have slipped. the collar on the clutch side of sled is nt completely on hex shaft its partly off . anything could be wrong my bearing collar set screws were very loose to the point they were doing nothing.its an 03 rx1 er

The collar on mine is the exact same, just barely on the shaft.
Mine is frozen in place though, not loose, so I would say you are ok.

Here is a link to the pic I took yesterday of the shaft with drivers.

If you need more pics, let me know right away, have everything right here. ;)!

I want to put anti-ratcheting drivers on my '04 warrior, but do they make a set that will work with the stock Ripsaw track? I had them on my '03 121, but it had windows in every pitch. My warrior only has 800 miles on it and I don't really want to put a new track on it to allow me to run new drivers. My '03 already had new drivers on it when I bought it, and I haven't even ridden my '04 yet, is ratcheting a real issue with the warriors? Thanks for any advice!!!

It is an issue, you can run doo extroverts, but MUST cut out the closed windows on your current track, or buy a new track.
Most guys cut out the windows with a stanley knife keeping the blade lubricated with WD-40

After cutting out the windows, you must then install the track clips on the track that the extro teeth actually drive on. With the time/trouble/expense of modifying the stock track, not to mention what a lot of people think of the stock tracks to start with, most go with a new track of their choice - depending on how the sled is most often used.

Hey Al!

Why aren't you up north playing??? :-o

I have read on here about people using them with just the windows cut out, no clips, no problem. Apparently, it gives just enough grip to keep the track from ratcheting.

You mean with the stock drivers? or cut out the windows and put extroverts on and just don't add clips?

Hey Rock, headed out as soon as I can duck out of here.... sure wish yours was done - guy weekend!

I spoke up because I can't imagine those teeth driving that track without the clips to kinda spread out the load/support the bars imbedded internally in the track? As mentioned, maybe extros with an assist from the outside drivers, but I still don't think it's a very good plan. Extro's, even if you take the driving forces out of the equation, are still supporting the entire front of the track at speed when installed by themselves. Not much caring for even that amount of stress. Maybe I'm wrong? God knows, wouldn't be the first time.

If you do decide to stud it, I have some used stainless studs for it (the ones that don't break off), much cheaper than new!
Yet still in good shape!

The track really isn't all that bad, mine has lasted for near 9000 miles and is still useable.
Not the greatest in the powder, but not awful either.

Here is a link that shows it.

I haven't done the cutout without the clips myself just have seen where others here have.

Grrrrwwwwwrrrroowwwrrrr Al!

I will try to kick butt and get things ready for next weekend!
How's that sound?

I've been running the skidoo extros for two seasons. All i did was cut out the closed windows.Didn't add any clips. There doesn't seem to be any wear, damage or vibration.

I used skidoo part #504152503 9tooth 2.52.(about 60$ each)They will fit on the stock shaft.I'm pretty sure yamaha shaft is 1 1/16. Skidoo is 1 inch for a nice tight fit.I believe the warrior has 9 tooth drivers stock. If you go to 10 you will have to adjust gearing and clutching. You can fit up to 1.5 inch lug with 9 tooth drivers. To maintain adequate bulkhead clearance with 10 tooth drivers it may be necessary to use a shorter lug track.Advantage with larger drivers is supposed to be less rolling resistance(track doesn't have to wrap around the drivers as tight)Great mod,run track much looser, less ratcheting.
