This is my friends sled. It is an 03 RX 1 with a CPR turbo. He bought the sled with stacked gaskets and decided to put in low comp pistons to be safe. He has now put about 100 miles on the motor with new pistons with 5 lbs of boost to break in. Today he turned it up to 8 lbs of boost. The clutching is way off and sled only turns 9500 rpms @ 8 lbs of boost. We were running it against my 05 RX1 that is tuned and running strong. First couple races we did a hole shot race and a roll on in his yard. It is a big yard and I probably got up to 85 mph. His sled has pretty bad lag time right now and could not run my sled down. He asked if I wanted to try it. He drove mine and got a great hole shot and pulled about 4 sleds on the turbo. Now, I saw what he was seeing. Yes my sled got out on the turbo, but when the boost came on, the turbo was running mine down FAST. We took them out on the gravel road and found a stretch were there were no houses for about 1/4 mile. We touched them off at about 30 mph. Again I pulled out quick and lost his sled in my site picture. It wasn't but what seemed like a couple seconds and I seen him coming and drove by me like I was on a 500cc sled. I looked down when he went by I had just hit 106 mph, which was faster than I would have guessed. I run mine up to 117 mph but he was gone. He then asked me if I wanted to try it on the road. Again we did a roll on, but this time his turbo seemed to take off pretty quick. My sled might have got out 1-2 sleds is all. I rolled on by and left it down for a little bit. I let off at 128 mph and she was still climbing. He said he was at 101 mph on my sled when I went by. I can't imagine this sled with 8 lbs of boost and clutching that is right. He will eventually run about 11 lbs of boost on pump gas and then dial the clutching for that much boost. It will still be heavy because it was clutched for 15 lbs of boost from the previous owner. Anyhow, I know what you guys have been saying about boost and how it is addictive. I don't like the lag at all but I am sure when he gets it dialed in it will be a lot better.

No Mike, he put it away. I don't think he will touch the sled until he turns it up to 11-12 lbs of boost.
He did pull a plug and I pulled one on mine and we compared them. His plugs were too new to read.
That was a fun ride!
P.S. What hp do you think his is making at 8 lbs with the low comp pistons? I would guess around 190-200hp
One thing for sure it is more than mine.
P.S.S. Did you find any thing out on your sled?
