Where is the cheapest place to buy the cord for your helmet? The wife lost hers and everybody wants $20 just for the cord that goes into the shield.

If you want real cheap get an RCA cord, and split it. Maybe dollar store.
I carry spares, that way I can give them away cause someone other than the wife and I are always having trouble.
We still use the old cords from our old 97/98 helmits. Run them through the jacket and down right sleeve and they seem to last.

Cheap RCA cords won't last in the cold. They are made with a low grade insulator and will crack in the cold. Cords made for heated sheilds are well worth the $20. An excellent invest for clear vision.

I bought two at a new yammie shop in Indian river mich. $10.oo each. MM.

You want the coiled cord with male RCA jacks at both ends that will stretch and retract. It is also made to stay flexible in cold weather as mentioned above. What is $20 compared to the other costs of sledding. Tell your wife to keep track of her stuff. LOL!

This is sort of on topic. If you have a dedicated female RCA jack just for your heated shield wire the polarity backwards. This way if you disconnect your cord at the helmet end and let it drop on your running board the center pin on the male plug is ground so it will not short out and blow the fuse. The heated shield does not care about polarity and works the same if the center pin of the RCA plug is hot or ground.

BLUE DAVE. You got that right. I tell my wife to keep track of her stuff and... stop moving it around so we can find it. Whew.
