Embarrassingly dumb question

My father has a '16 Apex XTX with the upgraded fox shock. I sent it out to Hygear for a rebuild since he's sitting at 7600 miles. I've read the easier way to get it back in is to let the air out of the main chamber. Now for the embarrassing question, where is that? Looking on Fox's diagram I unscrew the reservoir cap on the rebound side to hook up the air pump. On my shock, that cap says it's high pressure nitrogen. Fox's diagram shows the reservoir cap on the compression side is the nitrogen side, yet mine just says caution under pressure with no mention of nitrogen.

on the 16-18 apex xtx shock, you unscrew that cap and use the hand pump as there are no springs to hold up the sled and that is the air's job. the nitrogen will be at almost the same pressure as the air in the fox float from what has been posted for specs.

The long reservoir that attaches to the main body of the shock is the end that gets the air from hand pump. Thats the end with the nitrogen sticker on it.
The short chamber with the compression nob gets the nitrogen.
The short reservoir from the factory has the needle valve for charging nitrogen. Looks like they updated that end cap on yours to the Schrader type. The needle type are known to leak.

Please read in the frequently asked questions section at the top of the apex section.
Under suspension there is a set up guide for this shock. It states in there about the 200 psi that not to set on ground below 200 psi.
But the chart for weight goes down less than 200psi.
