Engine allignment on my 2006 GT

Just received my clutch allignment tool. The blue Yamaha tool. Check my sled and is out by at least 1/4 inch center to center. That is on the short. Also looks out on the straight. Does any one know how and where i start to allign this sled. And is the Blue Yamaha tool the right one. I was always lacking on top end. I now see why.

Thanks for the thread. Makes sense now. Is this something I need to do on a yearly basis or was it not set properly from factory?

It could have been like that from the factory. Mine was off a little also.
Once I set it, never had to touch it again.
