First of all Happy New Years to all. Okay so I am finishing my MRFUSION project or Nypex I guess. I started the engine for the first time after a complete rebuild, Corillo rods, JE pistons, Hurricane porting, the whole shiteroo. I somehow got the two lines to the oil tank reversed so the return line and the vent line were backwards. I run the engine for about 10 mins with no problems and idling smooth when the vent line popped off the engine and pushed oil out on the hoist. I corrected the problem and the sled is still on the hoist and has not been out to be run fully. Now to my problem. If I let the engine sit overnight and fire it up in the morning it will blow blue smoke for about a minute of run time, and if I start it through out the day it will be okay. The next day it will do the same when I start it. I know it should be taken out and run but I am bleeding coolant and setting up my control box. I am thinking that when I had the lines reversed the oil could not return to the oil tank and filled the engine full. I probably just need a good run to clean the pipes so to speak. Thanx for the help guys and hope you new year brings sweet sledding.

I know when this happens on my quads it takes a long time to get all the oil out of the silencer.Maybe reason it only does it on first startup is the oil is in area around core and then when it sits it is allowed to run onto the core which is probably only part of silencer that gets hot enough to burn it.Otherwise it just may need to be broken in.Usually not good to let a fresh motor idle for 10 minutes.

valve seals would do this.

BTW I already did the same mistake (reverse oil lines) and this did not create real problems other than oil foaming till I reconnected lines properly.

Shad, check the restrictor at your oil pump. You can diagnose where the oil is coming from be removing the turbo before you start the engine in the morning.Look for wet oil in the pipe.If oil is in header, problem is at engine. If oil is in down pipe, problem is at the turbo. That should start to give you direction.

Thanx for the help guys, I did try calling you Dave but I figured I would leave you alone until the new year. To remove the turbo is a pretty involved job at this point but I will if I have too. I may be worried for nothing too. Just put the last 7 months into this and want everything to be perfect. I am trying to post some pics but must be doing something wrong. I needed to idle the unit to bleed the coolant and test for oil pressure to and from the turbo. I dont think anything was wrong in the engine assy, really took my time on this one. Its hard to check my exhaust too because of where it dumps in my tunnel with the skid and track in. I am returning my oil from my turbo to right beside the plastic cap on the stator cover, oil seems to be returning fine while running. I could use some assistance on posting pics too, I keep getting an Error that says unable to upload empty file. Thanx for the help guys.

Hopefully its not an issue with the engine Shad, that would suck big time. Im with you on posting pics on this site, finding it very hard. Was able to put pics on snowest & snow/mud with no issue, & I dont have a clue what Im doing, haha.

There are two ways. You can host the pictures like at Putfile and just copy paste the url right in the post or if you post it directly you click add attachment, browse which takes you to your picture on pc,select picture, then you click the second add attachment located near bottom, then post.

Tried again and again but kept getting tried to upload empty file. Sorry guys not so computer savvy I guess. I hit add attachment and choose a pic from my file, it shows up on the page beside choose file then I hit add attachment again and it takes a second and back to the same error message. You will just have to believe that my sled looks good I guess. Shad

I posted it on Snowandmud if you are interested under the Yamaha Turbo section. Had no problem posting pics there. Maybe one day I will figure it out on here. Cheers guys. Shad

After reading the instructions I have a silly question, where do you click on Upload New Version like it says. Cant seem to find that. Its probably simple just missing it. Shad

I found it really difficult to load on here, until TT did step by step like teaching a child, lol. I finally figured it out, but not having any real interest in computers I found it hard.

I think you are hitting the wrong add attachment button at point shown you hit the button curser is next to then click submit.
