Engine braking issues-- any fix?

Run the track loose as you can without ratcheting the drivers

I've heard that you can swap in a different helix and/or spring in the secondary, don't know which, but it's at the expense of backshifting. Larger idler wheels can help too for better coasting.

If this sled, and engine braking is new to you, I encourage you keep riding it. You'll get used to it, and eventually appreciate the downshifting and use it to better handle corners without using your brake.
