HAS ANYONE HEARD OF ANY TURBO RX1 ENGINE FAILURES, BURNT PISTONS, VALVES, BROKEN RODS, ROD BOLTS, BLOWN HEAD GASKETS ETC. THESE KITS ARE STARTING TO PRODUCE SOME SERIOUS HORSEPOWER AND I HAVE YET TO HEAR OF ANY FAILURES. WITH SOME TURBOS PRODUCING 350+ HORSEPOWER, UNTIL SOMEONE STARTS FINDING THE BREAKING POINT OF SOME OF THE PARTS, WHO KNOWS WHAT THESE MOTORS ARE CAPABLE OF.

Nothing to report out of BC as far as I know. The "Big Dog" here is Climbmax with lo comp. pistons and stock rods @ 17lbs. on 50/50 fuel mix. RX FUN

Yes we do. I'm hoping Lincoln gets a Turbo Vector on the snow this season. I feel like a Yamaha salesman here. Actually I enjoy being a salesman in these skidoo infested waters. RX FUN

I have heard of a couple failures. They were all self inflected though. People that ran regular 85 octane fuel with high boost levels. Definately not the fault of the turbo.

I now of one here in MN. The guy just had a turbo installed and was not told (or didn't listen) what type of fuel to run. He put in 87 and pinched it down the 1/4 mile track and snuffed it. I didn't here how bad it was damaged. If lucky all he did was blow the head gasket out of it.

A guy here in Maine burned a piston and melted the rings by turning his turbo up as high as it would go. He then ran a radar run with the engine bouncing of the rev limiter ALL THE WAY DOWN THE TRACK. :rocks: He had a slight skip when he got back to the starting area :drink: A clear case of self distructive behavour LaLaLa

Someone about 1500 feet down the lake from me had someone burn a bender to hell on his driveway. As I hear it, they were all very drunk at the time and it was the first time starting the motor and didn't even get a run on the lake. No doubt it was caused by moron behaviour.
