Hey all. any suggestions on a quality reputable dealer in Ontario capable of rebuilding an rx-1 motor? just looking to stay stock..not turbo.

site sponser HURRICANE Performance...they seem to be well in tune 4 strokes..stock or otherwise....other alternative I would recommend is IANTOMASI Track n Trail in Bowmanville ON...not sure what Yammi dealer t use if that's what you really want but I would think and independant shop would be a bit cheaper.

Thanks for the quick reply

The reason I am rebuilding it is simple....I brought it to a local scam artist "technician" last year. he left an oil line off after installing K&N filters and an oil change ....and I ran it dry. i havent had any luck finding a new mill so am looking to have mine diagnosed and PROPERLY repaired. I have a lot of cash into it because at the same time i did track, studs, bearings and wheels. I dont want to part it out..I've had it since new and its just too nice...:)

Since the engine was run dry, you could be in for a very large repair bill just in parts alone. I am not trying to be the bearer of bad news, just trying to alert you to the potentail costs. How soon after it ran low on oil did you catch it? The local dealer had a similar situation but killed the engine the instant he saw the oil indicator light. He had to replace the crankshaft, rod bearings and main bearings. Other people have ran them dry for a longer period of time and scored the camshaft bearings in the head, the bearings are part of the head casting. A reputable motorcyle shop will be able to rebuild the engine. Have you spoken to the outfit that caused the problem about their responsibility to make this situation right for you?

Good luck!!
