Those of you who have installed a engine tensioner. I would sure like to see some pictures and parts list so I can make one for my RX-1.

Does having one seem to help?

Does it looks factory, classy or tacky?

Thanks guys.

The tensioner is just a standard turnbuckle 10 inches long. Eye end mounts to the engine with a shouldered bolt and collar. Hook mounts to underside of frame on the rear bolt for the bumper/hood support bracket. You have to replace the factory bolt with a 50mm long one and slip another collar over the anchor nut in the frame. Use a 7/16 bolt on the engine and moving the battery tray will help when installing bolt. Both collars are the same.7/16ID; 9/16OD; 1/2inch long. I did some test runs with the tensioner installed and unistalled. I managed 134mph on the dream meter both ways but I did notice that there is better throttle response with the tensioner installed. Also with the tensioner installed you don't have to worry about your ctc distance changing.

DC5, thanks for doing this so fast. WOW! I will add this to my to do list now. I may have a turnbuckle similar to this just lying around.
