At what point, or what amount of NOS are guys having to do engine work for their nitrous setups? Looking to put a 40hp shot on an Apex. Didn't know if it is like boost from a supercharger; where you have to do engine work when you go to X amount of boost? Don't want to just through it on and do some mapping. Then watch a rod blow through

IMO, you can safely run up to 60-75hp shot. The Apex engine can easly handle that additional hp. After that I would think about adding a different head gasket etc. I also added 10ek's plugs and run 92 to aid in a cooler combustion.. The key is to make sure you add the appropriate amount of fuel while on NOS. I have the boondocker kit with the fuel controller mod, easy to dial in....
