people don't realize that Yamaha has a 3 year midterm plan and a 5 year long term. that being said this is only the 3rd year. I think next year is going to be big but 2018 is going to be huge!

They be gone soon... stay strong!!
It's the same thing every year. Everyone wants a sled built specifically for them. If you haven't figured it out by now, Yamaha marches to the beat of it's own drum. It's part of the reason they have built such high quality products for as many years as they have. With being a fan of Yamaha, you must know they are not in the popularity business, they are in the quality business. Pretty simple. If you don't like their offerings, ride something else. Anyone consider the XP chassis from Doo is going on it's 9th year? Funny, huh?

I know if you read some of the complaints around here you would swear that Ski-Doo introduces a brand new chassis every year or two. They don't and honestly everything they build today is just the original REV being tweaked. It's not a whole lot different then what the current Apex and Vector are to the 2003 RX-1. I also get tired of the whole "A 2016 Yamaha is the same exact sled as a 2006 Yamaha." Have you even ridden one? You could come up with a couple pages of changes and improvements. I guess maybe if they would have updated the hood and plastic like the other companies do then more people would be happy, but styling changes have always been slow to come to Yamaha.
I agree if you think the 2016 Yamaha line-up is junk, by all means go get a Ski-Doo or better yet a Polaris with that highly reliable old fashioned 2 stroke. I'll stick with my Yamaha and if I had the money I'd trade off my 2012 Nytro XTX for a 2016 Vector 146" 1.75" XTX in a heartbeat.

Tell them not to worry about leaving to buy a 2 smoker. Us yamaha guys are always responsible riders and we always bring a rope to tow them back to town.

Exactly, disappointment usually stems from an even deeper passion. For me criticism is welcome, it opens up ideas. So starting another thread bitching about people bitching accomplishes what?

It's the same discussion I have with my wife all the time when she is shopping for something. She's always saying I wish it did this, I wish it came in this color, nothing fits right. And then I remind her that she needs to select a product someone actually makes to purchase. It's either that or have it custom made or don't buy anything. I chose to buy a new viper last year and I am very happy with it. I looked at all the sleds being made at the time I was ready to buy and selected what I thought was the best possible fit for my wants and needs. IMO most of the complainers are Yamaha guys that are still hurting over the perceived betrayal of Yamaha partnering with AC and bashers with other brand loyalties coming here just to poke the hornets nest and get things riled up. Of course this is all just my opinion and I reserve the right to be wrong.
Cheers and happy riding!
