I have a 2008 apex lxt gt 40th with 980 kms. While on a trip up north in very deep snow my dash lit up like a christmas tree and displayed a er_1 code which I believe is the ecu. I checked all the connections they all seem good alothough the entire nose of the sled was packed full of snow. I hope that it is just water in the connections. I have dried it out in my heated garage for several days now. T
he sled seems to run fine but the code still comes up. My sled was purchased in the usa so I have no warranty HELP!!!!!!

Recheck ALL the connections (unplug them and check for water)..check the speed sensor....you can always take it back to the US dealer for warranty....

unfortunatlly the us dealer is 36 hrs round trip. Does anyone think that maybee gas up to 10% ethonal mixed with a small amount of gas line anti freeze (iso) could cause this??? I am going to syphone the gas and try new fuel.

The machine has no idea what you put in the tank...it won't affect the gauge.

I guess you are right doktor C. I though maybe the ecu cold tell if the sled was running to hot. But this sounds more like a electrical short, with the high temp, low temp, check eng light, warning light, er_1 code, no tach and no speedo or odometer all at once.

I have found a similar post called ecu fried! he said that he had similar problems his drive shaft bearing damaged he speedo senser. can anyone tell me how to find the speedo sensor and how to test it.
I still think that mine is moisture reated as i can run the sled longer and longer without codes the more it dries out. 3 days i can run 3 mins Any locations of these couplers is appreciated.ERR1 is....
No signal are received from the ECU.
1) inspect connectors...
-Cylinder ID sensor coupler
-Main wiring harness coupler
-Sub-wire harness coupler
2) Open or short in wiring harness...
3) malfunction in meter
4) malfunction in ECU were also othr connection that I am unsure of the location i will post

The speed sensor is located directly below the secondary clutch..
