I have searched and searched on this site and haven't found anyone with this problem. After my sled has gotten cold and I try to start it will sometimes just click once and nothing. I do it again click once and nothing. If i hold the key in the start postition for over 3 seconds I get Error 12. Then I back my truck up and jump the SOB
I have been told it is the Fuel Relay that gets frozen and causes the sled not to start but I wonder what the error 12 means.

Ok i just found that error 12 means CrankShaft Position Sensor. Still don't know how to fix it though

I had a similar problem. Would start fine in the shop and at most quick stops, but if I stayed at a stop too long the relay would freeze up and no start. After a few no starts I started getting engine code 12.
I disconnected the battery to reset the ecm, warmed up the relay and the sled would start. I since have changed out the starter relay and have had no problems.

Replace your starter relay. Clean the terminals at the starter relay connector as well. The starting problem and code 12 will go away at the same time.

code 12 is displayed because when the key is in the crank position the ECU is expecting to see a signal from the crank sensor but because the engine doesn't roll over there is no signal. Check the key switch and relay connectors for corrosion and/or replace the starter relay. I covered my relay with a rubber boot to keep it dry.
