I got error code 43 on the sled Sunday morning. first time, also the first time I left it out doors over night in the back of the truck.
I could feel the relay clicking with my fingers, after a while it just started.
what should I do to prevent this? new relay?
also I left my gps on over night, would that have anything to do with it, The gps is hard wired to the battery.

Probaly not enough power to turn it over. So the relay just clicks. See if she jump starts. Or charge the battery to see if it goes away.

Replace the starter relay. Same thing happened to me. Relay klicked but no starter engagement.
I opened up the relay and found that the contacts was burned, so even if the relay kicked in - there was no current flow going through it.

Its likely not the starter relay!!!! I assume it cranked over but didnt start. Code 43 is a fuel system power issue/warning. It is most likely your fuel pump relay, 3rd one in the nose from the front. PITA to get to. The fuse that feeds this relay is part of the starter solenoid, 1 used and 1 spare feeding 12v to the fuel system and fuel pump relay.
It has likely gotten moisure in it that froze and just replace it with a new one. Like 10 bucks here in Canada . It is a VERY VERY common problem, and there more threads about it than broken arctic cats.
IF you get stuck somewhere , exchange it with the 4th from the front or 1st from the front in the relay bank, they are all the same relay. 1st is power management, 2nd is high/low lights and is a slightly different relay, 3rd is fuel pump and 4th is the rad fan relay. Good luck

It's not the starter relay the engine rolled. I ordered a new relay today. Problem is I might not get it for next weekend and my father is taking the sled for his annual trip.
Can any relay fit?
I have but over 200 Kim's on the sled since then with no more errors, but he is gonna leave it outside for 2 nights.

There is a polaris relay that apparently fits as well...........just running out the door, so I cant find it quickly for you. but if there is a polaris dealership available to you, the relay part # is in a thread that I also posted in...within the last month or so. Perhaps another member can help you out.
As I mentioned, there are ALOT of threads regarding this issue. IF your stuck, you can swap relays and hope for the best. Switch the 3rd and 4th from the front and hopefully the fan relay is dry and good. A very helpful poster named Grizztracks has a great link to the relay and fuse locations on here as well. That should get you going for the weekend.......definately a problem you can deal with inexpensively. Good luck,, this only haunted me during a week in the -40's ....

Take out all relays and heat them in the oven for 2-3 hours. I did this with mine a couple weeks ago.
Cooked them at about 60 deg celcius for 3 hours. Should get the moisture out.
I cant say for sure that it made any difference.. I guess we'll see next time it gets really cold outside.
It might be worth the effort, if you cant get the new relay in time.
Good luck.

They offered to take the one off a brand new 2012-13 xtx on the floor if I don't get it in time.
I can't beat that.
