I will be there on sunday at 3/4 track on the fence. I will have my chevy parked under a easy up. Stop by and say hello.

pretty good showing today. Great weather and some fast times. The sled to beat in both the twin and power adder class is Glen Halls 1200 turbo f-cat. 8.38 @ 161 I believe. I'm not sure who's at the top for the all motor guys. Lots of 8 second passes today. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Great day at ESTA! Got to meet most all of the TY guys...Monker, Airwolf, Stone88 (and his crew), NYATTAK, and a couple others.

I gotta say thanks to Stone (Ernie) and his guys for helping me out with my sled and for a couple of beers afterward.

Turnout is very good. I'm guessing 150-200 sleds.

ADKBlue, if you get this message, come look for us. A bunch of us Yami guys are parked right next to each other in the pits.

Saw some great runs today. 8.6s in the motor only class at about 150 mph. Saw a couple of low 160 mph runs in the power adder class in the 8.3 second range.

Saw a couple of Yami turbos run and sad to say, I wasn't very impressed. Hopefully, they'll get better tomorrow. I didn't see every run so there may have been some very good ones there...but what I saw wasn't great.

We were talking this afternoon and were saying we'd like to see that Simons CPR Turbo out here. What's the deal Jeff? We aren't looking great with the 3 or 4 turbo Yami's that I saw today. I think the fastest turbo Yamaha that I saw was maybe an 8.9??? Guys in the motor only class are running faster than the Yami Turbos that I saw.

Anyway, there are some really tricked out sleds of all makes and models!

Wish us luck on Sunday.

I should add that we did get to see the new nytro run too. The pass I saw was a 10.80. I'm not sure how 'stock' it is.

Hi Guys!

Nice to meet some of you today. The NYTRO is BONE STOCK! All it has that is not off the showroom floor is the track and skiis. I thought it was pretty respectable run it made at 115. All you guys on the 4 strokes put on a great show! Be safe tomorrow and have a blast! After all, that is what it is about right?!

Oh, and thanks to all the great guys that I met that took the time to educate me on this form of sled racing. I know you guys were really busy, and answering my stupid questions was very much appreciated!

I was wondering if that was a Nitro or a Phazer. I only saw it from far away. I thought if it was a Phazer it had to have a Turbo. I saw it run twice and it looked kind of funny. It looked like it came out of the hole balls to the wall then didn't have much left. But, I think it accelerated so fast that it was near it's top speed by the 1/8th mile. The first 1/8th that thing flew...it looked ridiculously quick...then kinda slow because it topped out right away. Also, that thing is really quiet. Wow.

Anyone know what the 60' and 1/8th times and speeds were for that sled? I'll bet they were good.

I will be out at the track Sunday morning. Will try to stop by and see everyone. Good luck to all of you.

Yes, it is too bad Simmons CPR can't be there. I've been hearing for years how fast jeff's sled's are and it would be nice for him and his crew to make it to such event and put on a great show by Yamaha.

Got a late start yesterday due to rain early in the morning. I heard the bracket finalist split the final due to darkness.

Power adder quick 16 was Jeff Cullen over Glen Hall with a 8.34 @ 162

Twin quick 16 was Glen Hall over Bill Defranco with a 8.5? in the 150s

All motor quick 16 was Adam Frick with a 8.56 @ ??

I must take back what I said about the Yamaha Turbos. I didn't catch who it was but the guy on that Orange Yamaha Turbo from New England (Connecticut I think) was really fast! It took a bit to spool that turbo up but it hauled balls once it got going. He was running in the 154 mph range...high 8's I think. The other Yamaha turbo guys ran a better on Sunday as well.

As for me... I sucked. I realized while I fell asleep at the starting line that I need more racing experience. The staggered start really screwed me up. My .750 reaction wasn't gonna get it done.

Track conditions temp wise were really good. I thought traction was pretty good. About 30% of the sleds seemed to be breaking out. Unfortunately, the guy that I raced got on his brakes or he woulda broke out...handing me the win.

All in all, it was a great weekend.

It was a great weekend and it was great to put a face to some of the other guy's here on this site . Everyone there share's the same passion for snowmobiles so it's easy to get along and have a good time.
Stoutner get that header fixed and you will be in the 9's all day, all in all there was a good showing for the yamaha's this weekend ;)!
