Evo power up

I'm sure it won't hurt without the header for a couple rides, I averaged 14 mpg, that was on trails with about a foot of snow. Driving 40 to 80 mph.
Probably running a little rich, so it should get even better with the header, I run mine pretty hard too, I get 12-13 mpg, just intake and can mod no flash yet, but seriously considering it, gotta find someone who has it and take for a rip.

Variances between sleds is what I am talking about Stingray.

When you do a complete flash you rewrite the existing code. My last contract I built virtual computers for a worldwide development team. I had a "clone" image (software) that I would use to make an EXACT copy of that machine. Now for the point I am trying to make, not all of those clones were the same. A few had to be deleted and another copy made with the same clone. Software copy via TCP is not an exact science, and is prone to failure.

Now my point is this. No matter how good your flash is if you use TCP copy on the fly without bit checking like Yamaha is doing you will have a certain amount of errors. EVO does not do this with the flash they do.

The other more important point is the flash EVO does rewrites EVERY piece of code in the ECU. Any variance from the factory or reflash is gone after the flash. All the base code is from the original ECU they used for the base map.

What it does or does not do for starters etc, is open for debate but the facts above needed to be said.

Play nice you two.

Think Evo just left a bad taste in cannondale's mouth with the whole header ordeal ,doesn't matter I still want that header.

No I appreciate the expertise. I don't know how they flash them at factory. Assumed it was hard wired not like dealers do. Variances come direct from factory. Then there is also the low voltage while cranking many gauges sense. Sleds really need to be rethought by Cat and Yamaha. Something definitely wrong. If it turns out that EVO style of flash solves all the variances in run quality because they flash like Stingray said then I will be first to congratulate them.
