Well I got the Excell exhaust on Friday afternoon and early Saturday morning I installed it and began doing some track dynoing with it. This was on an 06 Attak. WOW is all I can say as far as the fit and finish. All the plastic pieces fit like a glove and look great. It probably took me 2 hours to install the whole exhaust system. The 13 lbs weight savings is a big gain in itself. The actual HP gain at the track is an added bonus!
Track Dyno results:
+1 peak HP more than stock
+7 hp more @ 25 mph than stock
+5 hp more @ 45 mph than stock
+2 hp more from 65-100 mph!!
Noise:
+I would rate it about the same db level as the White Knuckle QC-1 exhaust for the RX-1. It has a nice throaty "race bike" sound to it. I would compare it to a Bender or Simons CPR piped Viper for noise level for a rough guestimate for those who have been around the piped Vipers.
The exhaust costs $700 and comes with excellent instructions and the clutching costs $360 and comes with instructions as well. PM, email, or call us today to place your order!!

Ryan, hopefully that looks a little better. I got a Vector high flow header pipe as well and it looks excellent. Now I just have to get it installed and on the dyno as well.

So Allen, you don't have to change the exhaust right from the motor? Just from where it goes from 2 into 1?

Rotax!, you'd be correct!
I had the seat off already for dynoing so all I did was take the two 12mm nuts off the gas tank and prop it up high enough so I could get the rubber gromets out to access the bolts for the exhaust clamps. I loosened the heat shield, stock exhaust canister, two exhaust clamps and slowly slid the exhaust out. I then installed two new exhaust seals into the excell "y" pipe and put the OEM exhaust clamps on the pipe and slid it on and tightened the clamps. Then it's just a simple dab of silicon sealant around the pipe that the muffler slides on and 2 springs to install and the exhaust is on. Then there's an additional mount that goes around the canister to install and modifying of the stock heat shield. Aaron's directions are very good, but his instructions are slightly different than how I installed it.

That's not an Attak, it looks more like a SwitchAttak ![Div20 ;)! ;)!](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/div20.gif)

I believe the pipe and muffler for the RX-1 is $599. The Apex kit will not fit the RX-1 model. You must order the RX-1 specific kit.

I was able to get it without dropping the rear skid at all.

How'd you do that. It was tight when I dropped mine. Couldn't imagine doing it without dropping it. Especially if you have a friend helping dropping it takes all of 15 min.
