Saturday morning took a trip down to Excell M/S to pick up a set of his new "X" wheels for my Phazer.. When i got there, everyone was super busy,.. Dan, Matt, and Jamie were slammed in the shop trying to get their customers sleds done for the weekend.. Harold was hammered with phone calls and Aaron was selling sleds... I was just planning on picking up the wheels and saying hi to everyone and putting the wheels on myself..As i was purchasing the wheels Arron asked if I had my sled with me, I did.. he said "get it out and we will mount the wheels up for you" I actually said no.. I didnt want to be one of those guys "here i am stop what ur doing and work on my sled"... before I knew it i hear my sled in the shop, Dan went and got it out of my truck pulled it in and started to install the wheels, he also noticed my slides were shot and installed a new set of slides... I really like those guys down there, and they deffinitly understand customer service... This is not the first time they have gone in my opnion above and beyond my needs as a customer... So I give you guys 2 thumbs up Excell M/S crew!!!!!!!!!!! ;)! ;)! and I recomend them to everyone.... and so everyone else knows I have 2 Yamaha dealers within 10minutes of my house, I drive and hour and 15min to Excell for service like this.. Thanks Guys

Dang, that is way above and beyond! Im sure you know the guys well, and that helped with the awesome service you got. I know my local dealer wont do anything for free.

That is an incredible shop to take care of you like that!

on a side note,
I had the large decal on my clutch side cover come completely off while riding this weekend (the 2 foot long white decal on the black plastic), obviously it was not prepped correctly before the factory put the decal on (I only have 1200 mile on it) and my YES warranty doesnt even cover it. In fact it specifically excludes it? B.S.

ya eccel rocks ive only dealt with them on the web , but thet r top notch customer service online and on the phone , i also reccomend

if i was going to buy a new Yamaha I would give them a shot,There prices on new sleds are retail which is high. i am sure he will deal with you when your ready to buy.

Definitely a good idea to change out the slides when upgrading to larger wheels. This way, they break in and wear properly and not "expose" the wheels to undue stress right off the bat.

Aaron at Excell is top notch in my book. End of last week my expert-x broke a swingarm mount. Aaron makes reinforced ones so I email him on a Saturday after hours and he got back to me on SUNDAY! Ended up calling him at the shop on Sunday and ordering it. A dealer open on Sunday is all about customer service.

I've done alot with Aaron at Excell, of all the folks I've dealt with on my sleds, he and his guys are the only ones that truly have an interest in making your sled work for you. My 05 RX1 would run hot on warmer days since day 1. The dealer I purchased the sled from & Yamaha said this was normal. After adding a supercharger, the problem got worse. Aaron and I got together & came up with a solution - a U-cooler (fabricated by Aaron) under an extended tunnel (also Excell).

End result? 160 degrees under almost all conditions :-o

That's just one Excell mod on a sled with lots........

Thanks to everyone at Excell . :flag:

My friend called and got a price on a Apex XTX for $12,400.00 that's $2000.00 off. That's definitely not Retail.

i believe all dealers have to list full retail on their websites per Yamaha.. give thenm a call and negotiate the price.. i have always gotten a fair deal from them.. and lets not forget, he is in business to make money..

Left jackshaft bearing went out on me 2/13, sled under warranty. My two local dealers who I've purchased new equipment from over the years both said same thing. Drop it off, they might get to it during the week but couldn't make any promises on if it would be ready by weekend. Called Excell and Harold said get it to them ASAP and they'd get started on it. Dropped off 2/14 evening and they called early Wednesday, all done, ready for pickup! They changed both left side bearings and I even got a free hat. Talked to Aaron while there, great guy. They are out of my way but I'll definitely be back.
