but when you mean tune it your talking about adding more weights and rivits?

Not sure how these ones work but i think you add or reduce weight by adding or taking out the rivets.

Yes Ulmers weights have no rivets in them so it leaves you with alot of room to tune.More rivet weight =less rpm=more mph if motor will pull the higher effective gearing you create by adding wieght(rivets) the weight causes primary clutch to shift out further.There are 3 holes in the weights to place rivets.Yamaha sells the rivets and they come in different lengths and materials to really fine tune your rpms right to where you want it.None of this fine tuning is needed if pipe isnt making more power.Ulmer Kit takes care of stock issues and is a great base for minor mods.

Simple answer, changing the weights in the clutch changes the speed at which it opens and closes

Do a little googleing to learn the physics behind centrifugal force and how these clutches work.

ooo ok thanks. im buying an LRD pro series 4. talked to a guy and he runs this pipe, on a stock phazer, no air box mods, no clutching, no fuel mapping, and he says it gives it more pull, low end snap, and throttle response...gunna see what its like with this pipe and go from there
