Exhaust

Splitting hairs here boys. Can you really notice 2 lbs or 2 hp?

I did this, you did that. It's all ok.

Just helping out rotax with his question. There are a few good ones Stu.
My priority was stainless construction and baffled, I did not go with Bender because I have not noticed him spending any money advertising on this web site, unless I somehow missed it.
I do believe there is a 2-4 hp gain, no way do I think Hauck gets 9HP out of his.

So, if I kick yer butt, and take your pink slip, will you give me the piece of paper too that brags about the '2-4 hp gain" on your sled?

I say it's irrelevant and false advertising to claim such menial stuff and gives us trash to talk about while having absolutely no real basis in life.

Just like stainless exhaust. Any real life gains? NO. My exhaust is mild steel all the way and will never rust because it either at 200 plus degrees or dry after being 200 plus degrees. Besides, I painted it with heat paint, which added 0.00356 lbs, but well worth the weight gain. And if it ever did rust, it's probably because I sailed over a 3000 foot cliff and I'm laying in the bottom of the lake next to it.

I built my own exhaust because I spent money on this website myself.

I would be happy to answer your post if I knew what the f**k you were ranting on about. If you have such a hard on about non standard exhausts, why did you do one? Further I dont care if you sat on your rocking chair for 87 hours carving a system out of wood there Jepetto. It is your sled, do what you want. :moon:

I don't know what I'm ranting about. My brain is still frozen from riding last week. I don't think you should should say the 'f' word here.

My actual point is that questions about exhausts gaining or losing or whatever are basically irrelevant because the real world gains or losses are just that.

My other real point is that I built my own to lose weight, nothing else.

Did I get under your skin, for just a sec? That was my 3rd point.

#3 first, naw, your my friend, thought you were on a drama trek to entertain the troops, I thought I would play along.

It is pretty cool that you made your own. I am not one of the guys that says "I have the best" but the WK is a very good unit and it is popular on this site. Looks like I just sold it for 3/4 of what I paid for it. Actually I do believe you get a good coupla HP out of all these, but much more than that and you are kidding yourself.
It is true you cant say the 'F' word in this section but you can say f***
All things being fairly equal, I will try to throw my money to the people who support this site. Matt at the Speedshop, Allen at Ulmer Racing, Kevin at Port Yamaha, you just cant find better people to work with.

For the average person, no it wouldnt make a difference. However, 2 lbs/2 hp can be the difference between a glorious victory and a shamefull defeat.

I guess I'm average then. If I lost a race, I'd add 100 hp to win next time, not 2.

LOL...I hear that.
If you were racing it would be a bigger deal.
Myself, I like the look of the dual pipes.
I like the looks of crotch rockets that have the single tailpipe under the fender but Im yet to see a sled that looks good with it.
