Was up in the Gaylord area last weekend, first ride this season, with 2 good riding buddies. Saturday around noon I came upon a beautiful county road, perfect, I was wondering what effect the new lower gears would have on my top end. @ 101 my track blew apart, I rode to a stop, tipped her up and cut off what was left and hooked her up to the back of my Vmax. My buddy riding the vmax pulled me on the RX1 about a mile with the other buddie way out in front looking for a place to park so I could go get the trailer. Well he stopped at the bottom of a hill, the buddie towing me had plenty of time to stop, but tried to flip out my sled and pass him instead of just breaking and allow my sled to just run into the back of the vmax (only driving 10-15 mph) well the RX1 hit the stopped rider with its left a arm and ski. The stopped rider was standing up on his sled looking for a place to leave my sled, he went flying backwards in air for 20 feet and landed flat on his back. I went flying forward, onto the road, in front of car. I quickly rolled out of way and crawed to my 65 year old buddy. I unhooked his his mask and helmet, he was uncontrollably shaking, had stuff coming from his eyes, nose and mouth. I took me 1/2 on hour to get him to get up and walk to ambulance. They checked him out and said it was only a muscle pull. Well . . . on Monday he went the ER, 1 broken rib, 4 cracked vertebra, and 1 partially collasped lung, he just got out today. He will recover fine. I ended up very sore, still am.
