Expert X vs. M-10 I need help

The nice thing about the Ohlins, is the ability to have both firm and soft. They have 21 position clicker which basically allows both valving conditions.

Powerhaulic, does the front arm Ohlins shock have compression and rebound adjustability as well? Have you had that shock apart and does it have the helical grooves cut into the walls of the shock body like the Fox? The reason I am wondering as it would be reassuring to know that FAST had specified a special shock rather than expecting the rider to work through the endless combinations all this adjustability allows. I have gotten the Fox m10 in my V Max 4 to work great. I purchased a remote reservoir for the rear shock that allowed 5 positions of compression adjustment. I moved the non adjustable reservoir from the rear shock to the front arm shock. I had to make my own fitting for the shock body using part of gas filler valve, a brass elbow and some solder.I had to locate this reservoir to a suspension cross shaft. The reservoir has the effect of stiffening the valving of the front shock and this is just what the VMax and RX1 need due to the heavy front weight bias. Once we did the Tech Syn change we have had no reliability problems at all. I do believe that the Ohlins is a higher quality product than the Fox but the Fox can be made to perform. For me personally, having all that adjustability is a detriment. I am more of a set it and forget it guy.

Powerhaulic, would you know by chance if Ohlins off a 01 M-10 (ski-doo style) will fit a 02 (polaris style) ? Also is it worth the hassle to switch Ohlins for the Fox with the M valve? tks da Ape
