Hi all,

I just installed my adjustable riser from Rox and realized that i probably need an extended throttle cable if i want to go higher than now.

How have you guys solved this? Is there some other yamaha cable available that will do the job?

I saw that there is a throttle cable extension from Powermadd but are they any good?
The best would be if i could find a complete cable that is a few inches longer than the orginal one.

All help appreciated!

what's the height of you new risers?
i hear some can get away with 2" taller. you just need to re-route the cables by the speedo. & there may be a little adjustment in the stock cable to get you a little more length.

Hi!

I have the Rox adjustable risers and want to be able to have them a little higher than now which makes the oem cable a bit short.

Some other tall Phazer rider must have had this problem?

I added a full 3 inches(custom made at work) and no problems. Just needed to re route the cables a little.

Ok, for those of you trying to install a riser, here is a quick tip.

When pulling the throttle cable out of the "fun flipper" watch how deep the cable casing goes into the throttle assembly.

I just re-installed my Powermadd 3" pivot riser last night. I gave up the first time as I was getting the dreaded 84 TORS error. Everyone said it could be done without extensions.

So I pulled the cable out of the fun flipper and re-routed the cable under the bar and actually outside the riser post and re-attached the cable.

If you don't seat the cables casing into the assembly until it clicks, it will give the 84 error code. I noticed there are actual clips inside the housing to keep the casing in place!

Once I shoved it in far enough and found that it didn't bind from lock to lock, the error went away. This thing sure is nice with that extra 3". I can now stand without bending my knees or bending over. This will be great now!

Good luck guys!

Rerouting the throttle cable under your bar instead of over it will give you a few more inches. I had to do this when I added my 2.5" pivot bar.
