Face shield scratches

I was just being a wise a$$. rainx anti fog regularly, it works, never windex or use cleaner. I'm sure wax works, just sounded funny.

Figured as much, hence the emoticon.

On a serious note, is there anything mild/easy enough on the market to clean up a hazed and scratched windshield/visor?

I have used Plexus before, it is a great product but I believe it is more of a protectant, not much of a scratch healer.

What I need is something mild enough that is won't leave a haze once I am done.
I have done the headlights on my truck with 2500, 1500 then a 1000 grit paper plus the polish afterwards and they turned out pretty good, but I still think it would leave a haze on plastic windshield?

I may just have to purchase a new one but I am not sure if they carry the 40th anniversary ones anymore?

I wouldn't mind being able to do the same on hazy plastic. never was able to do better than you mention, sanding/polishing. I'm hard pressed to believe theres a way to beat buying new. some way of glazing it with flame? best I've found is to prevent scratches with polish and store out of sun. replace when necessary. dealt with the headlight thing many times. like hell I'm spending 500 for subaru headlights, so rubbing compound with polisher like aluminum. not perfect, but gets a sticker. Also, over years have ruined some nice windshields with cleaners, no way no how. mild soap and hot water/sponge at best. as far as faceshields go, best to never touch with hands or towels, etc. I found a nice rainx antifog every use is quick and never find myself dicking with it while riding

No really, the lemon pledge is the one to get. No joke. Works awesome -you won't believe the difference on a helmet shield.

I've used a 2 part product called Novus for years. First you use the scratch remover, then the cleaner. Works great! I use Meguiars also but resort to the Novus when there are deeper scratches I want to eliminate.

Where abouts is this Novus product available, I have never heard of it?

I may also check out www.autopia.org and see what some say over there?

Well what do I know, the Pledge actually did a great job!

My windshield didn't come out entirely perfect but it is a hell of a lot better than what is was!
I can still see some srcatches, but most, if not all of the haze is gone.

Thanks guy's and sorry for doubting you.
