just wonderind if anyone has installed one and level of difficulty. i have a gt so the plug is already there for it just dont know where.
Once you find plug its just 3 bolts and plug it in.Simple and well worth it.

yep, look at the vertical wiring harness right behind or to the left of the radiator when looking at the side.
it should be even with or just above the top of radiator.
mine was a black plug.
the r6 fan i bought, plugged right in.

Very easy to install since your harness already has the plug allocated for the fan. Call Yamaha directly and they will probably send a fan with hardware for free. I called them around august and they sent me a new fan plus entire main harness to accept the fan and any other hardware that was required. Putting the new harness in was a PITA but sled has not overheated since. The plug for the fan is at the wire junction between the top of the oil tank and the top of the radiator. You may need to add a new relay for the fan...I know I did for a standard Phazer. If you call Yamaha with your VIN they will be able to tell you exactly what you need. Did you try bleeding the line for any air pockets? I think this was part of my overheating issue.
