Fastest Stock Nytro

haha i guess ill have to race him through the trails, other than a striaght race ;)!

My apex rtx did 114.1mph on radar and that was bone stock, with about 1500 km on the sled. I just don't think you'll beat one stock, xtx are fast but not that fast.

Your right, he won't...

Thats what i kinda figured, i got my dads apex to 110... I just got my nytro though, and was just curious. Cant wait to ride it :-o Cant wait for the SNOW!!!

If the XTX is faster because of the shallower approach angle, I wonder if it would be any faster cut down to a 121 or even a 136 ?

I hit 96mph (according to the speedo) on mine but I am pushing 300lbs with my all my gear. Its ok though, I really enjoy pulling skis off the line anyway.

iv got 109 out of my rtx, when clutching was stock, 144 studs and exhaust. wonder how much more ill get out of it this year with ulmer k&n's and stage 2 clutch kit(up 1 tooth)... hope to get 5 mph. when i radared my sled last year my speedo red 2-3km high

what do u mean by approach angle?

the approach angle is the angle between the front on the track and the snow, long track machines and mountain machines usually have a shallow approach angle to make getting up onto the top of the snow easier, like a shallow slide versus climbimg a ladder, the short track machine (rtx etc) are made to hit the trails and bumps thus they shorten the track also making the approach angle of the track larger versus the flat snow you are riding on.

You won,t gain top speed with aftermarket clutching. You will more then likely lose a couple of mph. You will gain a ton of low & mid. Do you know what it takes to gain 5mph? Probably gonna need 15-20 hp with out suspension changes. I broke even on mph gearing up my 08 nytro...zero gains. It takes a lot of hp to gain mph. You can get a lot more gains from suspension changes. Good luck getting that 5mph anyway!

Ulmer told me his kit would make 1-2mph on top end with the helix change...with header, K&N, plugs he says 6mph.....Ill let you know the truth in a few weeks
