Favorite Trailer for your RX-1's??

I'm looking at 2 place enclosed trailers for my RX-1ER and 500 VMAX. I'm thinking gotta have a ramp, needs to be covered, rest is up in the air. Triton/Bearcat/Sled Bed, etc. Any experience with the Sled Beds with the Poly covers that look like an egg? Bearcats OK? Tritons? Any thoughts or suggestions, let them rip. Hoping to keep it under $3,000, the farther under the better.

I have one of the new Triton covers coming for my Floe trailer. I like this one because it has a 4x4 door on the front for easy access...BBY

Cobalt, I have a 1996 2 place covered 101" wide I will be selling as soon as I get it out of storage in a week and a half Nov 6th, it is a Ravens aluminum with Bearcat cover, it is a tilt trailer not drive on drive off. If you interested, it has ski guides and traction plates on deck. Clean trailer for $1000.00 It is currently in SE WI.

I have a Floe ten foot drive on drive off with a cap. The positives about the trailer is that all wiring is in the tubing of the trailer. I have had trailers in the past with the slush thrown up underneath and pulled wires down. Not here, the harness at the truck hookup got wrecked, purchased a new tongue harness and plugged it right in to the rest of the trailer. The lights can be purchased from Farm and Fleet when they burn out. The only thing I dislike, ramps. My next trailer will have ramp doors. I have a Loadmaster enclosed trailer with dual axles. In 1999 I paid 3050.00 for it. It is not the highest quality fully enclosed trailer out there, but has not given me any trouble. It has proven to be very useful hauling almost anything. There is more wind resistance with it , but since I bought a Powerstroke, it tows great.

I have a TomCo, I love it but dont really like the looks . Everyone says it looks like an igloo.

I like the looks of the Hyland ones better

Mine tows great even in a wind , lots of room. I would try to get a 12 footer , the extra space is great

I have the Triton trailer 12 ft looks a lot like the one bluebyyou has pictured. The trailer pulls very good and being 12ft long I can get any mountain sled in it. Have always towed it with a Ford Ranger 4X4 without any troubles. Paid less than 3G's, drive on and drive off, works great for me.

cobalt650, A friend I work with bought a 10' enclosed LoadRite trailer last winter for $2250. He bought a Touring sled for his wife this year so he just sold his 10' Loaddrite, and bought a new 12' enclosed Loadrite for $2500. If you have a dealer near you, you should be able to get them down to these prices. Compare some of the features, and you will see they are better then a Triton. Triton now lives by their name. There are many better trailers on the Market today then Triton.

Rember when buying a trailer, or anything for that matter, check out the service after the sale. Triton worked for me because my dealer has handled other problems that I had in the past. My dealer just happened to be the sameone that I bought my sled from. Conveniance was another reason.

Triton/Loadrite

The best quote I've received on a 12' Triton Elite with a cover is $3,400. I will try to find a Loadrite dealer near Madison, WI and see what they have to offer. 12' and a ramp is the goal, and I hope to keep it for a long time. A dealer in Cedar Rapids, IA, wanted $3,400 for a 2002 Sled Bed with a fiberglass cap, unbelieveable.

Cobalt, I picked up my sledbed with the fiberglass cap for $2400. I got a list of Sledbed dealers in Minnesota/Wisconsin and started calling around for the best price. You should be able to get a list of dealers from the manufacturer www.newmansinc.com
