Finally got a chance to put about 50 miles on today. Need some help from those of you who have got some miles on. Rear Suspension seems to bottom out too easy. I have preload set all the way up. Has anyone installed the heavier spring and how did it affect the ride. Anyone know what rate the heavier spring is. I believe the stock spring is 5.0 kg/mm. for anyone who has installed the heavier spring, can the shock be removed while the skid is still in the sled, or do you need to pull the skid?
The steering seems a little loose. I realize I only have the piece of @#$@$ stock carbides (I am waiting for my new Bergstroms to arrive) but what would be the best way to increase ski pressure? Should I increase preload on front shocks, pull up limiter strap, or decrease transfer. I have everything set as it came from the dealer and transfer is right in the middle of the scale.
Otherwise than the set up issues, this sled rocks. My handwarmers seemed to work ok, even had to turn them down about 1/2 way. It wasn't really cold out in the 20's. I am just wearing thin mechanix gloves and have handgaurds installed. Thanks for any input. Dave

I have the stiff mono spring. I have bottomed the sled once in 500 miles. I love it and I should have done it to my 05 RX-1. If you ride hard or carry some weight I think it's a must.
As far as installing it I pulled my skid. No big deal its pretty easy. But I use a small ratchet strap to compress the shock just a little bit. just the 2 arms.
